About the app
How much does the app cost?
Enow is free. All features are available right away: no subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases.
Is it a diet?
No. The app doesn’t count calories or plan meals. It helps you notice hunger and fullness and understand what’s behind the wish to eat.
Does the app replace a doctor or therapist?
No. Enow is a self-observation and learning tool. It doesn’t diagnose and doesn’t replace a doctor or therapist. If you need help, please talk to a professional. Where to find help
Which languages does the app support?
Russian, English and Greek. You can change the language in the app’s settings.
Using the app
What do the numbers from 1 to 10 mean?
1–4 is hunger, from depleted to slightly hungry. 5 is neither hungry nor full, 6 is slightly full. 7 is “enough”: full, comfortable, satisfied. 8–10 is more than your body needs. You can try the scale on the How it works page.
Why is there an observation week?
For the first 7 days, you eat as usual and just note the numbers, with no tips and no judgement. The app records how things are right now: tips at this stage would skew the picture. After the week, it shows what it noticed and starts giving guidance on the hunger scale.
If you don’t want to wait, you can end the week early: Settings → End observation now.
How does the after-meal reminder work?
When you note your hunger before eating, the app reminds you to note your fullness 30 minutes later. You can turn the reminder off in Settings → Reminders → Fullness check in 30 min.
The reminder didn’t arrive
Please check two things:
- “Fullness check in 30 min” is turned on in the app (Settings → Reminders);
- notifications are allowed in iPhone settings: Settings → Notifications → enow.
A Focus mode can also hide notifications.
Data and privacy
Where are my entries stored?
Only on your phone, inside the app. The app has no accounts and no servers, so we can’t see your entries and can’t restore them. If iPhone backup is turned on, your entries are included in the backup under Apple’s rules.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There’s no account: no email, no password. The name you give when you start is stored only on your phone.
Will my entries carry over to a new iPhone?
There’s no sync between devices. Your entries move with your iPhone backup (iCloud or a computer) or when you transfer data from your old iPhone to a new one. There’s no export to a file yet.
How do I delete all my data?
In the app: Settings → Delete all data. Entries, weight, notes, photos, Skills progress and settings are deleted right away, and scheduled reminders are cancelled. This can’t be undone. You can also simply delete the app: everything in it is removed along with it.
